Fortnite v12.40 Leaks Reveal New Cosmetics

A recent leak from Fortnite v12.40 appears to show a wealth of new cosmetics coming to the game. 

Epic Games revealed Chapter 2 Season 2 of Fortnite a short while ago, which introduced a wealth of new Fortnite items. With this update, a lot of new features came to the Fortnite Item shop, and the latest version seems to have added more skins and cosmetics to the game. 

The v12.40 update is the topic of discussion today, and there is a few items of interest to discuss. Each update tends to be accompanied by some downtime for the servers as more stuff is added to the title. With this, we have seen a number of cosmetics being leaked. The leaked items includes Skins, Gliders, Pickaxes, Emotes, Back Blings, and more. Once these items are available for release, you will be able to purchase them with the in-game currency known as V-Bucks. 

So without further ado, lets take a look at what items have been leaked, and what could be making its way to Fortnite very soon.

Skins

Starting off with what many will be most excited for, there appears to be new skins coming to the game. There are three different categories of skins, including Marvel, Epic, and Rare. You may have heard by now that the Marvel X-Force is about to make its mark on Fortnite. With that, there is three new skins of characters for you to choose from. The new Marvel skins include Cable, who is described as a “Seasoned Soldier and Master Battle Strategist.” Then we have fellow X-Force member Domino, who wields duel pistols. Finally, we have Psylocke, the “Telekinetically enhanced master martial artist” who is renowned in the Marvel series as one of the most important female characters. 

There’s also an Epic skin, known as Synth, which offers a rather futuristic kind of look. A fluffy character known as Guff kicks off the Rare skins, which is followed up by the suave male and female combo of Wolf and Siren, who look as if they would be a popular choice when they do eventually release. 

Pickaxes

The Marvel pickaxes look to be particularly exciting. Players will have a choice of the Probability Dagger, the colorful Psi-Blade, or the intimidating Unstoppable Force. The Epic pickaxe meanwhile is the “Dazzlingly Sharp” Light Knives, whilst the Rare offerings include the Regal Floof, and the XO Axes (complete with a kiss mark on the blade.) 

Back Blings

The Back Blings are possibly the most eye-catching items that look to be coming to Fortnite. The new Marvel X-Force skins have matching Back Blings coming, with the Cable Cloak, the Domino Pack, and the boss-looking Shurayuki for Psylocke. The Stellar Jaunt is the Epic Back Bling, which features a brightly colored backpack accompanied by a sheathed blade. 

If you are looking for a more fresh look, then be sure to check out the Rare Back Blings. There is the disc-jockeying Back Scratcher so you never miss a beat, or even the Fluffle Bag if you fancy a bag filled with shards. If you want somethiing to match the XO Axes, then there is the Last Kiss too. Perhaps furry backpacks are more your thing, and if they are, then there is also the Pelt Pack. 

Emotes

The Emote feature in general is a great way for players to express themselves online, and that is no more true than in Fortnite. We’ve seen pretty much everything there is to see so far, with everything from dancing to dabbing. That hasn’t stopped Epic Games however, who have brought in two more Emotes for us to enjoy. 

From the Icon Series, we have the CrazyBoy and the Dynamic Shuffle. The former is described as “Never forget your pure heart and fight on,” whilst the latter is a bit more self explanatory. Needless to say, you will soon be showcasing your shuffling moves on the ever-changing battlegrounds in Fortnite. 

Wraps

If you’re a fan of the color blue, then odds are you are going to like these leaks. Two of the leaked Wraps are of this shade, with the lightning drizzled Blue Shock, and the cooler ambience of Frosty Glow. For something a bit more recognizable, we have the Banner which swaps blue for red, with a rather recognizable head on it. All three of these wraps are Rare. 

Gliders and Contrail

Those who want a full set of Marvel items for their new skins won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure. Players will be able to use the power of telekinesis with the Psi-Rider, which is bound to look great plummeting into battle. There is no Epic glider to be seen, but there is a Rare one in the form of the Flux Flier, which you could combine withe the Stellar Jaunt Back Bling for a very modern look. 

There has also been a Contrail leaked in V12.40. Fans will be encourage to add a bit of a synthesizing look to their dives, with the introduction of the Rare Synth Streak. Putting this with the new Gliders, you are sure to be dropping off the battle bus in style. 

That’s all we know so far when it comes to these leaks. Hopefully, we will be seeing these Fortnite items available for purchase soon. In the meantime, you should keep your eye on the Fortnite shop for when they do eventually release. By the looks of things, it appears we will have a lot of new cosmetics to choose from when the time comes.
